Section Biennale

Date 16 Aug 2026

Info 2:00 p.m.

Location Atelierhof Werenzhain, District Elbe-Elster

Address Werenzhainer Hauptstr. 76, 03253 Doberlug-Kirchhain (Dobrjoług-Góstkow)

To mark the conclusion of the exhibitions at Haus am Markt 20 and Atelierhof Werenzhain, the two venues will come together once more.

The joint closing event invites visitors to experience the various artistic perspectives in context and to continue the dialogue between industrial heritage, vacant spaces, and contemporary art.

The evening begins and ends with impressive performances. An artist talk featuring participating artists from both exhibitions offers insights into the creation of the works and their engagement with the respective locations. The focus is on exchange, questions, and conversation—as a joint conclusion to the two exhibitions and as the finale of the Elbe-Elster stop on the 1st openart Lausitz Biennale.

2:00—2:45 p.m. Performance by tanzkompanie golde g.
3:00 — 4:30 p.m. Artist talk with participating artists from both exhibitions

The event is free of charge and does not require registration.
