To mark the end of the exhibition at the Forster Museum of Textile and Industrial History, the openart Lausitz Biennale invites you to a closing event featuring a guided tour.
The exhibition brings together international and regional artistic perspectives that explore the transformation of Lusatia—including its textile history, environment, landscape, and the changing nature of identity and work. The works by Esther Perbandt, Frank Lippold, Joana Vasconcelos, Karen Modrei, Katharina Maria Wimmer, Marike Schuurman, Minh Duc Pham, Sonja Yakovleva, and Heike Zappe engage in a dialogue with the history of the former textile hub of Forst.
An artist talk with participating artists offers insights into the creation of the works and their engagement with the site. The focus is on exchange, questions, and conversation—as a joint conclusion to the exhibitions and the closing event of the Spree-Neisse station of the 1st openart Lausitz Biennale.
The guided tour offers an opportunity to rediscover the works together and learn more about the artists’ perspectives on Lusatia and the exhibition venue.
