Poetry Workshop with Marie Kublik and Frida Teller
As part of their installation Spurlos verschwunden? Lyrische Landschaften (german for "Vanished Without a Trace? Lyrical Landscapes"), which is dedicated to the sometimes-suppressed female poets of the GDR, artists Marie Kublik and Frida Teller will offer an embroidery workshop and a writing workshop during the opening weekend.
Through collaborative exercises, participants will explore the poetry of female authors from the GDR as well as their own experiences of everyday life in East Germany.
Marie Kublik and Frida Teller, who regularly write together in so-called “poetry sessions,” are opening up their writing practice to a collaborative exploration of female poets from the GDR, their own writing, and a multigenerational exchange on the topic.
