The art project POP-UP PARLAMENT gives local residents a voice and the opportunity to actively shape change.

A mobile pavilion is coming to Doberlug-Kirchhain. It will serve as a think tank and a gathering place for discussion and shared meals.

Here, the parliament will collect stories, concerns, wishes, and visions from the residents. At the end of each stop, participants will vote on which issue should be interpreted artistically. The art and design team TohuandBohu will take on these commissions and use them to create art for Doberlug-Kirchhain—a visible symbol of community participation. Whether it’s a monument, an installation, an intervention, or the creative transformation of a space—the art draws attention, connects people, commemorates, and creates space for encounters. The resulting works will be presented at a festive event.

The POP-UP PARLIAMENT is a collaborative experiment—a laboratory for vibrant democracy and creative dialogue. Everyone is invited to join in and actively help shape the future!
